Info: Made for a MEL scripting class at MAT / UCSB. I used the swarming expression to simulate a flock of birds in Maya. Then wrote a script to create curves from the the birds' positions over time. These curves were extruded and animated to make the structure come alive. The materials were driven by randomness and sinusoid functions. The video demonstrates flocking, then flocking influenced by sinusoidal wind vector field, then object avoidance, and final predator avoidance with a cube boundary.
